A Modern Kind of Vintage Lighting

Did you know that a traditional light bulb only converts 5% of the energy it consumes into light? This makes it incredibly inefficient—in fact, this kind of product was banned by the EU. Today, a lot of fluorescent and LED lights are common in stores because they’re more practical, but you can’t really deny the unique look and lighting old fashioned light bulbs bring. They’re just perfect pieces for vintage or minimalist themes! So does a worthy substitute exist in the market?

To See in a Better Light

If you care about the environment (and you should) but want to replicate the type of light vintage bulbs emit, there’s a better option. Products like the Firefly Vintage Filament Bulb give you the same warm effect you get from old light bulbs, but with better efficiency and a longer lifespan. They mimic vintage bulbs so that you don’t have to compromise the look or feel you want for your home, office, or store interior.

The Effects of Warm or Dim Lighting

How important is lighting? Light can affect our mood. The warm or dim light that vintage bulbs give out creates a sense of comfort and relaxation. Believe it or not, scientists say that dim light also helps us make better, more rational decisions. Certain spaces like lounges, cafes, bedrooms, and bars are just meant for dim or warm lighting—any other kind would ruin the mood!

Always take lighting into consideration when designing or planning a space, and choose the kind that fits the look and purpose of where you’re installing it in. Vintage light bulbs are amazing when used correctly—just make sure you use the better and newer alternative!
